The heart of the story

Letters are like seeds.

When Beebe binkies and flaps her ears, tiny letters float off her like pollen in the breeze. Freddy calls it soundinating. Every hop helps a little reader see how reading grows.

From the author

A retired reading teacher who once wore a patch, too.

Sue Gross spent her career helping struggling readers blend movement, phonics and emotional confidence. Her own story of learning to read while wearing a patch led her to tell the tale of Bumblebunny.
